Yau's Thai Style Satay Sauce

We've been taken aback by how popular our Satay Sauce has become. Since winning the Free From Award in March 2017 (Gold, Nut free category) and subsequently short-listed for overall winner out of over 500 other products, the demand has been keeping us busy with production.

Made with seeds instead of peanuts, and containing exotic Thai ingredients such as lemongrass, galangal and kaffir lime leaves, the taste is amazing. With just the right amount of heat and sweetness, combined with the citrus notes of the lemongrass, Yau's Satay always leaves you wanting more.

Stir-Frying

The easy one. Stir fry meat and vegetables, add sauce, reheat, serve. It's versatile enough to go with any meat, but pairs particularly well with chicken, pork and seafood. Stir-fried Satay prawns on a bed of rice vermicelli simply can't be beaten!

A jar should be enough for 4, but it's so moreish, you'd best have an extra jar handy.

Marinating

A whole 300g jar is enough to marinate around 1.5kg of meat. For best results, use strips of chicken thigh meat. Leave overnight if possible, or at least 2 hours. Then thread chicken on to pre-soaked skewers and cook under the grill or on a barbecue.

Other Ways To Enjoy Satay

  • Remove lid, heat gently in a mircowave for 20 - 30 seconds and use celery to stir then dip. (No washing up).
  • Stir into cooked pasta and use as a pesto sauce.
